Debut: January, 2004. Appeared with other WWRV "Invaders" at High Stakes such as then girlfriend Jennifer
Baxter and older brother Kirby.
Career Highlight: 2x WWR Champion, and the first Undisputed SWF United States Champion
(after defeating Kyle Andrews at Game Over 2011)
Don't let the name fool you... Pouncy means serious business. The
younger brother of fellow superstar Kirby, Pouncy had led a tumultuous road in the SWF, leaving a trail of defeated superstars
in his wake.
Coming onto the scene officially in 2004 as a member of the invading WWRV, Pouncy immediately carved himself
a niche in the Cruiserweight division, using his superior technical prowess to take himself to the top.
2006 would
be a year that would define Pouncy's career from beginning to end. At Dark Horizon of that year, he was betrayed by his older
brother, and consequently destroyed at Mind Games the following month. Being out with injury for over 5 months didn't sit
well with the veteran, who came back with two goals: the destruction of his brother, and his own meteroic rise to the top.
Over the next year, he would blaze his way to the Cruiserweight Championship, dumping girlfriend Jennifer Baxter along the
way. With a new, more "heelish" attitude, Pouncy cheated his way through several title defenses.
In the 2010 season
however, Pouncy began to show a more chivalrous side of himself. When fellow superstar Kyle Andrews appeared to be taking
his losing streak out on his girlfriend--Carmen Madison--by attempting to bodily remove her from the ring, Pouncy decided
to opt for tossing Andrews out instead. A grateful Madison approached the then
Cruiserweight Champion to be her Mixed Tag Team partner the following week.
Pouncy obliged after minimal protesting
on the grounds that he wasn't there to be Carmen's knight in shining armor. The charms of the British Bombshell seemed to
prove persuasive however, and Pouncy helped the Femme Division Champion take on Andrews and his one-time partner Emma Kiwi.
After Andrews despicably attacked Madison, Pouncy called out Andrews the next
week challenging him to take on someone his own size.
The rivalry between the two superstars carried on until both
men had to put their titles on the line in a unification match that would see the winner become the first ever SWF Undisputed
United States Champion. Pouncy would win the match, the title, and apparently the heart of Carmen Madison as well. The two
began a self-proclaimed "business partnership," and as Pouncy pointed out..."Business is good."
Of course it's that
cockiness that can get the better of him really easily. Though the champion would go on to successfully defend his title at
Mind Games VII against Madison's other former stablemate--Eric Ridgeway. There
is no telling what the new season will hold for our dynamic duo, but both Pouncy and Carmen seemed set to achieve greatness
together.
