In 2011, a new superstar joined the ranks of the
SWF, as Josh Arcanum signed on with the company, moving from independent bookings to the big time. And he wasted no time in
making an impact, as he immediately put himself in the business of Connor House, sparking off what many consider to be the
feud of the year. The two would face each other for the first time at High Stakes, with Arcanum coming out with the victory.
One month later though, House turned the tables in their no DQ rematch, winning with the help of his new valet, Brooke.
Arcanum
had impressed the SWF brass enough though that they gave him a shot at the Hardcore Championship alongside House. The two
would face Colt LeGalley in an epic triple threat ladder match at Mind Games 7. Arcanum would lose, but the effect of the
matches combined has already made him an irreplaceable part of the SWF.
Unless one man had his way... Josh Arcanum
has been around the wrestling world for awhile, and everyone was immediately made privvy to the fact that he was not liked
by SWF color commentator Jason Powers. Apparently, the two had history before ever seeing each other in the SWF. The disagreement
is even rumored to have led to Powers' departure from the company in 2011. However, Powers came back to commentate Mind Games,
but could not keep himself impartial during the ladder match, and even attacked Arcanum immediately following the match before
leaving.
It will be interesting to see if Josh Arcanum can repeat the stellar year he had in 2011, but the SWF fans
can be assured of one thing... it will definitely be worth watching.
