SWF eXplosion!

March 12, 2008

Live from Chicago, Illinois

SWF recap of last week’s show, which saw four men advance to the quarterfinal of the SWF tournament, along with the successful debut of Brady McKinnon, and the tag team champions being defeated by Team Japanime.

SWF eXplosion Theme Song

The show starts off with a bang, as "Young Grow Old" by Creed hits on the PA system. Jackie Blue walks out of the entryway and proceeds to the ring as Rachel Hinkly introduces her.

Rachel: Ladies and gentlemen, the general manager of the SWF, JACKIE BLUE!

Jeff: We welcome you here once again to SWF eXplosion, where the second round of matches for the SWF Championship tournament will commence!

Jason: But it appears that first, we’re going to get a little bit of news from the general manger, and that’s always good.

Jackie Blue steps into the ring and takes the microphone from Hinkly. She waits for a moment for the crowd to quiet down before she begins talking.

Jackie: I would like to welcome you all to the second week of the SWF Championship tournament! This week, we’ll have several exciting matchups, including the debut of a new superstar. But I’m not out here to talk about that. I’m out here to discuss the OTHER title that was left vacant by the reset. That’s right. I’m here to talk about the Streetside Championship!

The crowd cheers loudly.

Jackie: You see, the Streetside Championship has always been a title meant as a stepping stone to bigger and better things for its holder. Thus, with a new crop of rookies coming in, it’s almost a given that the Streetside title will be given to one of them. Therefore, I will be watching the matches this week and next week VERY carefully to determine who will get the chance to win this belt at Mind Games.

For the second week in a row, Jackie Blue is cut off by the sounds of "King of Kings" by Motorhead. Daniel Santoy, PG13, and Scooter Pondoff all walk down the entrance ramp toward the ring as the crowd boos.

Jeff: You’ve got to be kidding me!

Daniel grabs a microphone from a technical director as PG13 and Scooter help him surround Jackie Blue, who stands her ground stoically.

Daniel: Now now now... Jackie. I’m sure everyone and their mom cares about the Streetside Championship. Why, it’s a title that was made famous by my good friend PG13 when he held it for the longest reign in its short little history. However, both me and him have a bone to pick with you tonight, and it involves you reversing the decisions of our matches last week, because you know as well as all of these people know that Freddy Duncan and Cole Oz are a bunch of lowlife cheats.

The crowd boos loudly as Daniel inches in closer to Jackie Blue.

Jackie: Daniel, all the intimidation tactics in the world aren’t going to work on me. You both lost your matches last week, fair and square. Tonight, Scooter has a chance to win his match and advance, but for you two, the hope is lost.

Suddenly, PG13 and Scooter move in and grab Jackie Blue by the arms. She drops the microphone as the crowd begins to jeer even louder.

Daniel: Have it your way. I’ve done this before... and now... I’ll do it again.

Daniel drops his microphone and steps back, obviously measuring Jackie for an Icebreaker Superkick. The crowd begins to chant "Santoy Sucks" as he smiles and says something inaudible.

Jeff: C’mon!!! Somebody’s gotta come out and stop this!!!

Suddenly, the lights in the arena go out, and "Prelude 12/21" by AFI begins to play as the black and white British flag waves on the big screen.

Jeff: Wait! What the heck is going on!?!?

Jason: It’s... it can’t be!!!

The crowd goes nuts as the lights come back on to reveal two men standing in between Daniel and Jackie, one dressed all in white and the other dressed completely in black! Both men are wielding steel chairs, and they hit Scooter Pondoff and PG13 in the heads with them respectively. Jackie falls to the ground, looking at the two men as they slowly turn to face Daniel, who is backing towards the ropes.

Jeff: It’s them!!! It’s the Underground!!!

Jason: What the hell are they doing out here!?!?

The two men, Aiden Bishop and Anthony Ridgway, take a step towards Daniel, who immediately drops down and rolls under the bottom rope, joining his grimacing friends as they walk back up the rampway.

Jeff: They just saved our general manager from a certain Icebreaker!

Jason: But you know Daniel and company aren’t going to stand for this. I have to wonder what kind of ire they’ve brought upon themselves by attacking the biggest dogs in the yard their first time in.

SWF Tournament Match

Chas Dohanich v. Chris Wyatt

A matchup of technical submission wrestling against powerhouse brawling. Chas begins the match by gaining control quickly, working over the arm of Wyatt. He locks Chris in submission hold after submission hold, but Wyatt eventually creates some separation and out of nowhere nails his B**** Kick!!!

Jeff: Chris regaining control of the match, but can he keep it!?

Jason: Please! With that bum arm, he’s gonna be lucky to get out of this without being crippled!

Chris begins his power game in earnest, although he stops conspicuously every so often to shake his arm, which is obviously still in pain. He goes for a clothesline, but that was the mistake Chas was looking for, as he simply grabs Wyatt’s arm and rides him to the mat with an armbar. Once he has Wyatt on the mat, Chas locks in the Longhorn!!!

Jason: That’s it! This one’s over!

Chris struggles against the hold for a few moments, looking as if he’s about to submit, but then he suddenly rolls over, pinning Chas’ shoulders to the mat! The crowd cheers as Chas realizes too late what kind of position he’s in and fails to kick out before the three count!!!

Winner: Chris Wyatt (pinfall)

Daniel Santoy, PG13, and Scooter Pondoff are in the backstage area and are not happy.

Daniel: Who do those two think they’re messing with!?

PG13: Does it even matter? They’ve signed their own death warrants now.

A technical director comes up and hands PG13 a piece of paper. He reads it with a grin forming on his face and then turns to Daniel.

PG13: Or Jackie Blue has. Check out the card for tonight.

Daniel and Scooter crowd in to read over PG13's shoulders. The same evil grin appears on their faces.

Daniel: Beautiful. Alright... you two know what to do. I have to go make a few visits. See you out there.

Santoy walks off as PG13 and Pondoff continue looking at the piece of paper.

"Black Heart Queen" by the Gallows hits on the PA system as the crowd boos. Brady McKinnon walks out of the entryway to the ring, apparently ready for a fight.

Jeff: Well, you may not like his methods or his attitude, but you have to admit both got the job done last week against Christopher Michaels.

Jason: Yeah... this guy is definitely my kind of guy.

Jeff: Tonight though, he faces a bit of an unknown in Mike Kizzar, who is making his debut here tonight against Brady.

Jason: And I bet he falls in defeat too. I like this guy’s style... it’s gonna lead him far here in the SWF.

Brady gets into the ring and takes a microphone from the technical director. His music fades out as he paces in the ring.

Brady: Last week, I proved my dominance over anything the SWF has to offer! I pinned Christopher Michaels in the middle of this ring with his OWN finisher. Now this week, they put me on duty facing the rookie!?!? I should be in the SWF tournament, but they’re just scared to admit that I’m better than the whole locker room put together. So c’mon... let’s bring the fresh meat out here!

Jeff: Is he forgetting HE was fresh meat one week ago?

Suddenly, Mike Kizzar appears on the big screen. The crowd cheers loudly as he smiles behind his sunglasses.

Mike: Fresh meat? McKinnon... I want you to know that, while you may have won last week by stealing a man’s finisher, you’re facing ME this week! And my moves are unswipable. Trust me, by the end of this match we’re about to have, this "fresh meat" is gonna leave you on the ground, screaming in agony.

As Mike finishes up his line, "Earthquake" by Family Force Five hits on the PA system and the screen goes to a graphic of the words "It’s Time!" The crowd erupts as Mike Kizzar walks out of the entryway and heads to the ring with a purpose.

Jeff: Looks like this could be an interesting fight to say the least!

Mike slides into the ring as Brady quickly jumps him, landing right hands to his back as he tries to stand up...

Singles Match

Mike Kizzar v. Brady McKinnon

Brady presses the advantage in the early goings, continuing to just beat on Mike. However, Kizzar suddenly flips the issue as he nails Brady with his signature clothesline! The crowd cheers as Mike begins to exert his will on McKinnon, hitting suplex after suplex on him!

Jeff: This Mike Kizzar is one bundle of energy there in the ring!

Mike’s momentum is cut short though, as Brady nails a low blow behind the referee’s back and follows up with a huge DDT! The ensuing pinfall attempt only gets a two count though. Brady goes right back to pushing his own advantage, but beyond his knowledge, Marie Kiwi walks out of the entryway.

Jeff: Wait! What is she doing out here!?!?

Jason: Maybe coming to scope out the action?

Brady finally notices Marie at ringside and smiles. He knees Mike in the stomach, doubling him over, and bounces off the ropes. Never taking his eyes off of Kiwi, he goes for Mike’s California Screamer, but Kizzar pushes Brady off and to the canvas! As Brady stumbles back to his feet, Mike hits the ropes and nails him with a gigantic running shoulder block!!!

Jeff: It’s the Maverick!

Jason: Good Lord! Brady could have ended up in the third row from that!

Once again, Brady stumbles to his feet, obviously already out of it, as Mike runs up and jumps towards him, grabbing Brady’s head and pulling him face first into his knee!!! Brady bounces up and lands flat on his back as the referee slides into position when Mike covers him.

Jeff: And there’s the Screamer!!!

The crowd erupts as the referee counts three and Mike jumps up, celebrating! He then notices Kiwi standing at ringside though. Kiwi claps and smiles at him, but Mike stands there momentarily confused.

Winner: Mike Kizzar (pinfall)

Commercial Break

Alec Dohanich is shown backstage with the members of the Underground, which now include Raven and Carmen Madison in addition to the men from earlier.

Alec: Guys... tonight, you’ve made your debut on SWF television in possibly the most controversial fashion possible, facing the First Family in the ring. Now, the matches have been announced. Anthony will take on PG13 tonight, but you Aiden, are taking on former SWF Champion Sam Bratton in the SWF Championship tournament.

Aiden takes the microphone from Alec and stands face to face with the camera.

Aiden: That’s right, Mr. Bratton. I am the British Nightmare. I am the Ghost. You won’t see me coming until my knee is in your face. The time is coming... the time of your demise. The clock is ticking. Can you hear it? Tick... tick... tick. Time’s up.

Aiden walks off, followed by the rest of the Underground. Alec stares after them for a moment. Then, Sam Bratton is shown sitting in his locker room watching the proceedings on a television monitor with Daniel Santoy crouched down behind him. Bratton is obviously incredibly mad at the proceedings.

Daniel: You see Sam? Nothing but total disrespect from these guys. Now, I know you and I haven’t always seen eye to eye, but we have to nip this thing in the bud, before things get out of hand.

Sam suddenly stands up and whips around, grabbing Daniel by the throat and backing him into the wall. He gets very close to Daniel’s face as he hisses out his words.

Sam: Understand this, Santoy. I’ll take out those little creeps however I see fit, and I sure as hell don’t need your help to do it.

Sam shoves Daniel off to the side and walks out of the door as Santoy stands there, rubbing his throat and glaring after him.

Singles Match

Keibler v. Big D

In a match obviously set up by Jackie Blue in light of the booking of the SWF Tag Team Championship match between Big D & T-Roc and Team Japanime at Mind Games, the two speedy members of their respective teams go head to head. Big D goes right after Keibler, keeping him in the middle of the ring and taking him down, surprisingly, with power moves. However, as he tries to whip Keibler into the ropes, Keibler uses his superior speed to bounce off the opposite ropes and hits a back elbow on Big D!

Jeff: Keibler might not have the power to combat Big D, but he’s certainly got more than enough speed!

Jason: Still.. The faster you go, the more spectacular the crash!

Keibler keeps Big D off balance with various high risk moves before one finally gets him in trouble. He lays Big D out and then runs to the ropes, hitting a springboard moonsault. Big D gets his knees up though, driving them into Keibler’s chest as he comes down! With Keibler hurt, Big D begins hitting high risk moves of his own, nailing Keibler in the face with a springboard roundhouse kick!

Jason: Here we go! The beginning of the end for Keibler!

Big D scales to the top rope, setting up for his signature leg drop, but as he jumps, Keibler rolls out of the way and Big D goes butt-first to the canvas! As he writhes in pain, Keibler bounces off the ropes and jumps, hitting a magnificent Blazing Kick to the side of Big D’s head! The crowd cheers as Keibler pins Big D for the three count!

Winner: Keibler (pinfall)

Singles Match

Carmen Madison v. Morgan Matthews

Carmen comes out with her Underground constituent, Raven. Morgan gains control of the match early, but soon, Carmen’s high flying, almost spastic offense takes its toll on Matthews! Carmen connects with an arm drag on Matthews, and before the victim is even able to stand back up completely, Madison hits the ropes and bounces off with a springboard dropkick!

Jeff: This high flying style of Madison’s is definitely wrecking havoc on Morgan Matthews!

Madison’s eagerness gets the better of her, however, as she goes for the Shock Treatment, but Matthews reverses it and pushes her into the ropes, taking her down with a clothesline on the way back. Matthews spends the next few minutes in control, but she is interrupted by "Spyhunter" by Project 86.

Jeff: Oh now what is this!?

Jason: It looks like... oh my God... it’s a school teacher!

Jeff: JASON!!! Cover your eyes!

Lyda Masters walks down the aisle towards the ring as Matthews stands there in obvious confusion. Raven doesn’t just stand there though, as she runs down the aisle to cut Masters off. All she gets for her trouble though is a yardstick to the face, which puts her down as the crowd begins to boo slightly. Meanwhile, in the ring, Matthews is suddenly whipped around and Madison hits the Shock Treatment on her!

Jeff: WOW! Madison taking advantage of the distraction!

Carmen covers Matthews as the referee makes the three count, but the ref is interrupted by Masters swinging her yardstick and nailing Madison in the back of the head! The ref immediately calls for the bell.

Winner: Carmen Madison (disqualification)

Masters immediately picks up Madison and holds her up by her hair as she pulls Morgan to her feet by her hair.

Masters: I hope you both understand why I had to do that. We shouldn’t be fighting each other. That’s just not the way you solve problems.

The crowd boos, but suddenly pops huge as Raven slides into the ring behind Lyda and crouches down, coiled like a snake. Lyda senses the presence behind her and turns around... right into the Black Out!!! Raven jumps up, screaming as she scales quickly to the top rope and nails the Final Flight on Lyda!!!

Jeff: WOW!!! Raven just took out Lyda Masters!

Jason: Mmmm... school teacher...

Jeff: JASON!!! Concentrate dammit!

Raven helps Carmen to her feet as the two glare at Masters and Matthews as they leave the ring.

SWF Tournament Match

Juan Valderaz v. Chip Davis

Unfortunately, this match turns into a bit of a squash. Juan uses his superior power to simply take Chip down and out. In fact, Davis gets very little offense at all, as Juan simply slaps the Long Arm on him and forces the submission.

Winner: Juan Valderaz (submission)

Advertisement for SWF Mind Games, live on pay per view March 30, set to the music of Fort Minor’s "Remember The Name." Among the matches announced, the final match of the SWF Championship tournament and the SWF Tag Team Championship match between Team Japanime and Big D & T-Roc.

SWF Tournament Match

Damion Roquemore v. Scooter Pondoff

Scooter and Damion take on each other, and the result is sadly much the same as the match before. While Damion manages a bit more offense than Chip did in his match, he is quickly and effeciently disposed of, as Scooter nails him with the Scoot.Cutter and puts the match away in timely fashion.

Winner: Scooter Pondoff (pinfall)

Commercial Break

SWF Rewind of Marie Kiwi losing her first match last week against Amber Curry.

Tag Team Match

Chalie Williams & Marie Kiwi v. Amber Curry & Denise Albertus

The high flying duo of Williams and Kiwi begin the match in control, but are soon overwhelmed by the power of Curry and Albertus. Kiwi gets cut off from her corner and is viciously double teamed by Denise and Amber as Chalie is forced to look on.

Jeff: It looks like Kiwi is once again in trouble... and we’ve just recieved word that these four ladies will be involved in a fatal four way at Mind Games to determine one of the competitors for the number one contendership match later on that night.

Jason: Do you think they know about that?

Jeff: I’m not sure.

As Jeff finishes his sentence, Kiwi nails a perfect enziguri kick on Amber, laying her out and allowing her to begin the crawl to her corner. As she lunges and makes the tag to Chalie, the crowd erupts! Williams jumps over the top rope and proceeds to clean house, taking out everyone with right hands and then dropkicks! In the confusion however, Denise lifts Chalie up for the Lockdown!

Jeff: Uh oh! This could get bad!

Out of nowhere, Kiwi appears and takes Denise down with a dropkick to the knee! With Albertus stunned, Chalie readjusts herself and nails the Hell’s Hurricane on Denise! As Amber tries to get back in the ring, Kiwi hits a baseball slide dropkick to send her into the announce table as Chalie gets the three count on Denise!

Winners: Chalie Williams & Marie Kiwi (pinfall)

Alec Dohanich is shown backstage with Sam Bratton, who is ready for his match and apparently fairly pissed off.

Alec: Sam, tonight you face a newcomer to the SWF, who is ironically enough debuting in the same fashion you did so many years ago.

Sam: I know the story Alec. I also know that this punk thinks he can just waltz in here and make a name for himself. Yeah, I debuted in an SWF Championship tournament, and I gave Daniel Santoy the match of his life, but I still got beaten and I still had to pay my dues to get back in the game. Now, this little upstart thinks he can use ME as a steppin’ stone!? Let me tell ya somethin’, "ghost boy." Around here, all these tricky little catch phrases and gimmicks don’t mean s*** until you get in there and prove you got what it takes in the ring. Now, the way I see it, you’re compensating for the fact that you ain’t s*** in MY ring, so tonight, come out here and try to do all of your little flashy gimmick stuff, and I’ll show you just how fast you can fall down that mountain.

Bratton shoves Alec away and walks off, headed to the entranceway.

SWF Tournament Match

Sam Bratton v. Aiden Bishop

Aiden and Sam both come out to decent pops. They lock up in the middle of the ring and have a bit of a "feeling out" period, as they test each other. Eventually though, the pace quickens and Aiden begins to gain the advantage, using his high flying style to keep Sam off balance. However, Sam eventually strikes back. As Aiden goes for a springboard side kick, Sam ducks the move, turns, punches Aiden in the stomach, and uses his fist as a "handle" to pick Aiden up and slam him hard to the mat!!!

Jeff: Good Lord! Sam just overpowering Aiden on that exchange!

Jason: I don’t really know if it was such a good idea for Aiden to be such a big mouth earlier tonight...

Jeff: But how much of that was Daniel Santoy planting the bug in Sam’s ear?

Sam commences the beatdown of Aiden Bishop, taking him down with power move after power move. He German suplexes Aiden, dropping him right on the back of his head. As Aiden tries to get to his feet, Sam measures him for the Crimson Mask! However, the rookie ducks the kick and jumps up, grabbing Sam and DDT’ing him to the mat! With both men down, the referee starts the 10 count. However, the crowd boos as Daniel Santoy, Scooter Pondoff, and Anna Machen appear at ringside.

Jeff: What are THEY doing here!?!? Haven’t they done enough already!?

Aiden and Sam get up at the same time, and they begin trading right hands, not noticing the audience they’ve gained. Aiden suddenly gains the advantage and, quick as a flash, lays Sam out with the Stonehenge Facecrusher!!! The crowd erupts, but then boos as Aiden makes the cover but the referee is distracted by Anna. Bishop notices this and runs over to the ropes where Machen is. Anna drops down, but continues to argue with the referee as Aiden turns around and walks right into the Icebreaker!

Jeff: DAMMIT!

Santoy quickly rolls out of the ring as the referee turns back around. With Bishop laid out, Bratton pulls himself to his feet and stalks Aiden. Finally, Bishop begins to stir, but is quickly put down again with the Crimson Mask! Sam covers him and picks up the win as a satisfied Daniel Santoy looks on.

Winner: Sam Bratton (pinfall)

Singles Match

Anthony Ridgway v. PG13

The First Family is still completely present for this match, but the rest of the Underground is at ringside as well, and the atmosphere is definitely tense. Anthony and PG13 circle the ring and finally lock up, going at it with the wild abandon only possible between two high flyers.

Jeff: These two factions have been at some kind of war all night. This could easily explode at any moment.

Anthony gains the advantage, using a springboard DDT to get himself in the driver’s seat. However, as he goes to follow up, Scooter reaches into the ring and trips him up! That sets it off, as Aiden runs around the corner and lights into Scooter, which of course causes to complete meltdown of the ringside area! Meanwhile, in the ring, Anthony turns back towards PG13 and gets caught with a DDT of his own!

Jeff: I don’t think these two teams can coexist in any form near this ring after tonight!

PG13 keeps the pressure on, nailing a standing moonsault on Anthony. He then whips Anthony to the ropes, but Ridgway simply flips himself over the top rope and to the floor, taking out Santoy and Pondoff on the outside!!!

Jeff: WOW!!!

Jason: This guy is straight up suicidal!

As the three men stumble to their feet, PG13 hits a suicide dive to the outside, taking down everyone in a heap! The crowd goes nuts as Aiden walks through and throws PG13 and Ridgway back into the ring before continuing to take on Santoy and Pondoff himself. PG13 regains the advantage and begins nailing Anthony with high flying moves, but as he sets up for the Final Edit, Anthony does the unthinkable! As PG13 moonsaults toward Anthony, Ridgway spins around and drops to his back, kicking PG13 square in the face!!!! PG13 falls flat on his back and Anthony begins to scale to the top rope!

Jeff: Wait! Anthony is going for something huge here!

As Anthony gets set on the top rope though, Naomi Gonzalez jumps up on the apron next to him and shoves him off! Ridgway lands on the top rope, racking himself in the process! He gingerly gets down, but just in time for PG13 to kick him into the ropes and deliver the full Final Edit, this time with no interruption. The crowd boos as PG13 picks up the win over Anthony Ridgway!

Winner: PG13 (pinfall)

All pandemonium breaks loose as The First Family and The Underground brawl in the ring. Suddenly, security runs down and separates all of the fighters, followed closely by Jackie Blue.

Jackie: Now wait a second! I enjoy all of this spirited competition as much as the next person, but you all have provided me with nothing but a headache tonight. I’m going to let you all settle your differences at Mind Games. Anthony! PG13! You two will be in my special ladder match to determine the new Streetside Champion, along with Mike Kizzar and Brady McKinnon!

The crowd goes nuts as the camera shows both men, obviously chomping at the bit to get at each other.

Jackie: As for the others... Aiden Bishop and Daniel Santoy will face each other one on one at Mind Games!

The crowd goes absolutely insane as the two men glare at each other.

Jackie: And Anna... don’t think you’re off the hook. At Mind Games, Carmen Madison and Raven will be among the 8 women fighting for a shot at your belt. I would pray that they don’t make it all the way through those matches.

Jeff: WOW!!! What a series of blockbuster announcements from the general manager!

The show ends with a shot of the two factions eyeing each other through a crowd of security guards
